Whether you’re a beginner, have been too scared to try, or already an experienced inverter, join Mimi Yoga Studio instructor Irena T. for a 90-minute inversion workshop that will offer something for all levels. Learn the fundamental principles of going upside down and be guided through movements to help you better understand the alignment needed for inversions. Handstand, Headstand, Arm & Forearm balances, we’ll cover it all!
The studio will NOT be heated for this workshop.
- This workshop will focus on variations of headstand, handstand, and forearm balances
- Review the various tools and mindset necessary to help you get into inversions
- Focus on proper alignment
- Practice entering these inversions
- Ask questions & receive feedback!
WHAT TO BRING:
- Yoga mat or mats will be available for rental

ABOUT IRENA:
Bringing a playful approach, as well as a deep understanding of yoga, anatomy, and philosophy to her students, Irena’s classes have a strong focus on breath awareness and the mind-body connection. Her yoga trainings in India along with a deep meditation practice from her time spent in Kopan Buddhist Monastery in Kathmandu have given her a deep knowledge of both the spiritual and physical aspects of yoga.
ABOUT MIMI YOGA STUDIO:
Founded by international yoga teacher Mimi Ghandour, and located in Wynwood 278 NW 27th Street, the Mimi Yoga Studio offers a variety of yoga modalities including heated signature power, vinyasa, and restorative flows. Daily classes are designed for students of all levels honoring a mission for creating community and holding space for personal transformation. Mats and towels are available for rental and each class ends with a complimentary cold, rose essential oil-infused towel placed gently on student’s foreheads during final resting pose, savasana.
